Steve is a passionate senior living management specialist who believes that as our deserving seniors age, they should have the very best care and services possible to promote their highest quality of life.
For thirty years until his retirement in 2016, Steve was the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Menorah Park Center for Senior Living, the largest single campus senior living and healthcare organization in the State of Ohio, with an annual budget of over $80 million. Steve directed twelve hundred staff members to provide care to over one thousand frail seniors per day, in a variety of residential and community healthcare settings. During his tenure at Menorah Park, Steve developed and managed diverse healthcare programs such as post hospital inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing services, Assisted Living, Independent Living, Memory Care, outpatient aquatic therapy, adult day care, dialysis center, hospice, meals on wheels, home care, dementia care, community housekeeping, and ambulance and medical transportation.
Post retirement from Menorah Park, Steve is a senior living healthcare consultant using his expertise to enhance services for senior clients as well as those providing care and programs for seniors. Steve’s consulting experience includes providing expertise to developers building senior living projects; improving valuation of senor living properties up for sale; improving care and services for providers desiring higher occupancy; helping a growing nursing home company improve their internal operations; and providing operations audits and plans of action for senior residences desiring to improve their internal operations.
Steve grew up in Buffalo, New York, and attended undergraduate school at the University of Buffalo, majoring in History, and minoring in Business. While working during college as an orderly in a Buffalo nursing home, Steve became interested in helping seniors with compromised health, and decided to attend graduate school at The George Washington University School of Hospital Administration, where he majored in Long Term Care Management. Upon receiving his Master’s Degree from GW, Steve was appointed CEO of Greenwood House Home for the Jewish Aged in Trenton New Jersey, and after a tenure there for eleven years, Steve was hired as CEO of Menorah Park in Beachwood, Ohio.
Steve is a long-time resident of Chagrin Falls Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, where he and his wife Lori proudly raised three sons. In his spare time, Steve enjoys tennis, pickleball, swimming, hiking, weight training, and golf.
